DIHP Week 2 & 3 Recap

Windfall Farm kicked off the 2026 show season with a successful first outing in the jumper divisions at Desert International Horse Park, attending Weeks 2 and 3 of the 10-week circuit. Our horses stepped into the ring confident, focused, and ready to work, producing consistent rounds and strong finishes while continuing to build toward the season ahead. We were proud to see horses jumping with confidence, riders executing thoughtful plans, and partnerships growing stronger with each trip.

Dublin Z had a strong two-week showing with the mother-daughter duo, Barbara and Kendall. DIHP Week 2 saw Barbara deliver consistent and speedy rounds in the .70m jumpers, finishing 4th in their Classic. Week 3, Kendall stepped into the 1.0–1.05m Amateur Jumpers, earning a Champion title and finishing 5th in the $1,000 Classic. Dublin Z was on fire showing versatility and reliability, with great riding by the Finnegan’s.

Proudly offered for sale, Zip Zap Z competed both weeks with Chloe Fares in the 1.00–1.05m Amateur Jumpers. As a new partnership, the pair focused on consistency and developing their rhythm, producing competitive rounds throughout the week. Week 3, they finished 2nd in the $1,000 1.05m Amateur Jumper Classic. Zip Zap Z continues to show himself to be a reliable and competitive mount for riders looking for a capable amateur jumper.

In the 1.20m Amateur Jumpers, Uilinn Breeze and Lauren Kolbe delivered careful, speedy rounds finishing in the ribbons each day. Building on that foundation, the pair moved up into the Medium Amateur Jumpers for DIHP week 3, maintaining solid performances and finishing 2nd in the $5,000 1.35m Amateur Jumper Classic.

Goldrush joined the team for our second week in the desert with Ian McFarlane, gaining additional experience in the 1.20m and 1.30m Open Jumper divisions. With his powerful, scopey jump and sweet personality he is ongoing his development to be produced into an exceptional partner and go on to do great things. Goldrush is also proudly offered for sale.

For resident trainer Viva Hallinan’s mount Everly, owned by Eleanor Hellman, our first outing of the year marked a particularly exciting milestone. Not only was this Everly’s first time competing at the 1.30m height, but she also stepped straight into the Grand Prix ring, handling the atmosphere and challenge with confidence and maturity, laying down consistent rounds. Congratulations to Viva and Everly on a successful move-up- we look forward to seeing their continued progress and development as the season unfolds.

Back at the farm, riders followed along with rounds and supported their teammates from home. For our barn family and academy riders, these weeks reflect the same foundation emphasized every day at Windfall Farm- consistency, preparation, and thoughtful riding- whether training at home or competing at venues like Desert International Horse Park.

For those new to Windfall Farm, this offers a glimpse into the heart of our program. We value correct training, strong horsemanship, and a supportive environment where riders and horses can grow together. Our show results reflect that commitment, but our greatest success is the community of riders we continue to build.

We are incredibly proud of our horses, riders, and team for two productive weeks at Desert International Horse Park and look forward to carrying this momentum into the rest of the season. Stay tuned for more updates, highlights, and behind-the-scenes moments as our season continues.
