Congratulations to Katherine Civian on her new horse!

Big congrats to Katherine on the purchase of the Nor Cal Medal Finals winner this year, Gaston.
What a nice Equitation horse Jill Humphrey found in Europe. Katherine hopes to be a force in the
Equitation Ring in 2010.
Gaston is a lovely 8 year old black gelding we will get a picture up of him as soon as we can. Good Luck in 2010 Katherine!

Welcome Alison Heafey and MacIntosh...

We are so happy to have Alison and Mac back in our group.
She was a core element before for us and is once again central to our great group of people.
Happy to have them back on the viewing stand at Windfall!

Sacramento International

Well, I am so proud of our Windfall Riders and Horses. Here are some of the Highlights...
Jason and Rocky just rocked! They were Champion in the Modified Jumpers and were 2nd in the Modified Classic out of over 40 horses! Only 2 clean rounds, way to go!
Morgan and Lupo are making major progress. They are becomming a real team that is catching everyone's attention.. Look out for them in 2010.
Katherine Pennel and Tarina were fabulous. They had primary color ribbons in every round and had a solid 4-fault round in the very tough Leopaldo Classic course. They have worked hard and it is paying off in spades.
Ian and Fortuna were 2nd in both of their starts in the Childrens Jumper Divisions and were clear in the Classic to finish 8th. Job well done!
A big thankyou to Guy Thomas for all of his wonderful help getting Ian warmed up.
Katherine Civian and Tess came with us and were very good in the Low AO Division. Look out for them next year this is a team to watch.
This was a fabulous show. Thank you to Dale and Rudy for bringing this event to Northern California. This is definitely the place to be in early November. What a great finish for our Windfall Riders.
Now, on to the clinic...

Riding magazine did a wonderful job on an article about Windfall Farm!
Thank you Kim Miller (author) and all the staff at Riding Magazine. Well done.

Sacramento International Welcome

HUGE Congratulations to Marjorie Isaacs and Akrobat aka. Apple, (owned by Alison Heafey), on their victory in the SIHS Equitation Classic. Marjorie has been working very hard and it has paid off!
Also, a big high-five to Mary Kauftheil and her stallion Excalibur. They had consistently solid rounds in the Hunters and the Equitation bringing home lots of ribbons. Alex Strandberga and her lovely hunter Dutch also joined us and were very good with top placings. Dutch would have preferred the fences to be a bit bigger but you can't have it all. He is such a nice horse. All in all it was a terrific finish for the Windfall Riders for 2009 at this lovely show. Thankyou Rudy Leone for putting on such a nice event with great jumps, excellant footing and prizes worth working for and winning. We will defiitely be back next year. Northern California is starting to get some really good shows!
Next we are doing the Sacramento International Show for the Jumpers. Go Team Windfall!

Nor Cal Finals Horse Show

Gry and Tess.jpg

We had another great show at Rudy Leone's Facility! This was the first year for the Nor Cal Finals to be held here and it was lots of fun. First, a BIG high five to Lesley Fildes and her first time on grass in years. She overcame her fears and showed all of us how to face your fears. Katherine and Tess won a Jr/Ao Jumper class one day and had high placings in all of their other classes on the big field with Rudy's beautiful jumps. Mary and Macho were very consitent and competive in the Equitation Division. This was a first show with Windfall Farm for both Alex Strandberg and her nice hunter Dutch and Greg Parella and his young jumper Camp VII. It was great to have them join our group and both teams are going to be a force to be reckoned with in 2010. Katherine Pennel and her nice mare Tarina from Fresno were in the high ribbons in their AA Division as was Chris Davis and Paladin. All of Chris's hard work is paying off and she is riding great (even with a bad cold). Ian and Fortuna were very good (says the Mom). Windfall riders took 4 of the top 8 slots in the Children's AA Classic on Sunday. Way to Go! Janet Jones joined our group at this show and it was nice to have her get to know our very fun and supportive group. Now home to get ready for the Sacramento International Shows.

Welcome to Alex Strandberg and Dutch

Look for the combination in the Junior Hunter ring next year.
